Attsure claims run through Martello Law, the specialist insurance lawyers behind us, from first notification through defence and settlement. Brokers track claim progress live in the portal, and stay in the loop the whole way.
01
Attsure claims are handled by Martello Law, the specialist insurance lawyers behind us. Solicitors pick up the matter at first notification and stay with it through coverage advice, defence and settlement, including through trial when that is the right call.
Martello's solicitors act as coverage counsel and defence counsel on the same file. There is no handoff from a third-party administrator to a panel firm halfway through, and no restarting the story for a new lawyer when the claim turns serious.
Martello's solicitor and claims-admin costs sit inside the model rather than eating the insured's excess. That means an unmeritorious claim can be defended without settling early just to avoid a legal bill. That protects reputation and claims history as much as the cheque book.
Martello specialises in professional indemnity, general liability, IT liability and related financial lines, the same classes on Attsure's platform. Offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne cover Australian jurisdictions.
The same lawyers advise on circumstances, complaints and regulatory issues a policy may respond to, before a formal claim is made. Early advice is part of the service, not an afterthought.
02
Once a claim or circumstance is lodged, you can follow its progress in the Attsure portal. Status sits next to the policy, so telling a client where things stand does not mean digging through email threads.
Lodge the claim or circumstance through the portal channel that sits with the policy, rather than hunting for a separate inbox.
See where the matter sits as it moves through acknowledgment, information gathering, coverage position, defence and settlement, without waiting on a status chase.
Material developments reach the placing broker. Your client should never feel like the broker was cut out once the claim started.
03
A claim is where a broker finds out what an agency really is. These are the positions we have taken in advance, so the answer never depends on how the month's loss ratio is tracking.
Brokers and clients should be able to notify a claim or circumstance through a single, clearly signposted channel on the Attsure portal. Intake should capture what Martello Law needs to start work, without asking for more upfront than is reasonably required.
Attsure keeps the broker central at claim time. Progress is visible live in the portal, and brokers are kept informed of material developments on claims they have placed. Clients dealing directly on a claim should never feel like their broker has been cut out.
Attsure does not treat claims administration as a way to control loss ratios at the expense of legitimate outcomes. A claim is assessed on its merits against the policy wording, not managed toward denial by default. Where cover does not respond, the reasons are explained by reference to the relevant policy terms.
Where a coverage position is taken, whether accepting, declining, or reserving rights, the reasoning is communicated in writing and tied to specific policy provisions. The broker and client get the basis for the decision, not a bare outcome.
The best claims process is the one you never need. Day to day, the job is to make cover understandable before anything goes wrong.
Policies, schedules, and wordings are written in plain English wherever the subject matter allows, with defined terms used consistently. You and the client should be able to read them without decoding them first.
Attsure provides cover summaries alongside the policy so the client can see what is covered, what is not, and how to avoid the situations that lead to a loss or a claim.
The client can go to Martello Law for advice and assistance when a problem or concern first comes up, so it can be dealt with at the source before it turns into a claim.
